Concrete Stain-Eco Stain is an exciting alternative to typical reactive acid stains. There are no acids or harmful chemicals integrated in its design. Since no chemical reaction takes place, there is no extended waiting time for color to reach full development. Cement substitutes will not affect color, unlike reactive acid stains that are dependent upon alkalinity to create a chemical reaction. Eco-Stains in blues & greens will not spot black in the presence of moisture and are UV stable. As it is extremely easy to apply, we encourage homeowners and DIY “weekend warriors” to pick it up and try a bottle in their own homes and projects and concrete floors. First, it is very easy to use – there is no need to rent special equipment or take any kind of training to be able to use the product. It is completely non-caustic and can be applied by anyone since there is absolutely no aroma or chemicals being released into the air during application. It can be touched with bare hands without fear of chemical burns or skin irritation. Eco Stain is available in concentrate, not ready to use format. It must be diluted with water before use. Dilution rates are based upon the type of concentrate used (ie: 32 oz or 128 oz bottles). Turning Eco Stain into the “Standard” color found at color chart can be found on the dilution charts below. Additionally, Eco Stain can be diluted much further with water, extending coverage rates and the transparency of the stain, if desired.
